"A Child Called It" Sydney Jones
A child called it was based on a true story. A young boy was abused harshly by his mother; he was told he was a bad boy, so that was why he was punished. His mother did many cruel things to him, such as burning is skin above a gas burner, beatings, and holding his head under water. One thing I hated about this book was that I couldn't do anything about the beatings. One thing I loved was when the boy was finally rescued. This was a great read, and I hope you have the chance to read it as well.

This book sounds very interesting and can really make an impact on society. It really makes you think twice on how much someone can go through.
ReplyDeleteI also read this book for the project and while reading about his abuse I felt so disgusted at his mom for abusing her own child. It makes me very happy that he got out of that home at a young age.
ReplyDeleteI can see why this book is so contradicting to your veiws because the book is all about the bad stuff the boy had to endure, but it is in way interesting.
