As you can see, you place more "spongy" type materials on the bottom like Clothing or a Sleeping bag. Then you put more dense and heavy items on the middle of your back to make for better weight transfer on your hips and shoulders. Another tip by Erik is to put a lot of your smaller items in a zip bag. Those loose items end up sliding around in your pack and possibly lost. Also don't forget to put snacks, GPS, and and a camera in easily accessible pockets, that way you do not have to take off you r pack to get that perfect wildlife picture!

I love going hiking and going on excursions to the mountains whenever I can! This is definitely a helpful tool for me because I am usually struggling for room in my hiking bag. This is an awesome post!
