Battle of Jechrico

The Battle of Jericho by Sharon M Draper is a book that takes place in Douglas High School. Its about a "School Club" called the "Warriors of Distinction." On the outside they are a harmless club who do charity work for the community and help the school. But on the inside new members are extremely hazed. One of the girls that sneaks into initiation gets hazed extremely bad by on of the leaders. At one point he takes her into the bathroom and urinates in the toilet and gives her a swirly. At the end the main character's cousin dies by jumping off a roof. I recommend this book to anyone who likes books about peer pressure, discrimination, and fitting in. I loved the book, it was very powerful. I don't really have any cons, I really liked this book.
