I've always been interested in many things, but wood carving is one unique thought that revolved around my head. I would never think of doing wood carving as an occupation but probably a hobby. Marry May has the skills at this kind of thing and It fascinates me that people have that much patience to delicately carve the fine designs. Marry had to make 12 chairs based on a 1850's Georgian cockfighting chair, for customers that live in Charleston, SC. There design was made so you would have to sit backwards in the chair. It was thought that if you sat that way you would be more on alert.
