George Washington

The biography of George Washington by Calista Courtenay is a great read.  I have always been interested in history and my favorite is learning about Presidents.  Even though I have read several Washington books before you always learn something new.   I have been reading on Washington since I was 5 years old and knew the presidents frontward and backward at an early age.  This particular book talks about Washington as a young surveyor to his early military career and appointed General in French and Indian war.  It takes you through Washington being a member of the first Continental Congress, beginning of the Revolution all the way through his Inauguration as 1st President. One of the things I thought about while I read this and we don't think about was how young he was when he was first ranked military officer at 19 years old.  He truly was born to lead. He was a hard worker, humble and very respected by everyone.  I would suggest this book for any history lovers.  It was easy to read, but a lot of it I already knew, but still good to read.
