After two weeks of spring training games, the Yankees made their first round of cuts this afternoon. Among the first players to get the boot to minor league camp are Luis Severino, Trent Garrison, Nick Goody, James Pazos, Diego Moreno, Tyler Webb, and Juan Graterol. While none of these players will be considered as major league options from this point, don't be surprised if a few of them show up in a few games this spring.Obviously, the biggest disappointment is Luis Severino. It would have been nice to see him a few more times, but the small chance he got wasn't exactly impressive. While Diego Moreno was bad and had no real chance to make the team, cutting Pazos and Webb takes away their ability to impress the organization for later consideration. It's okay that Nick Goody has been cut because all he needed to prove was that he was healthy and could compete against a higher level of play. It is somewhat surprising to see both Trent Garrison and Juan Graterol get cut, but it's likely Garrison will be kept around to help catch bullpens and learn from their surroundings.

It's sad to see plays leave a team, hope they do good this season
