 This book is the second book of a series called "The Selection." From thirty five girls in the beginning being narrowed down to six girls competing for the crown and love of the Prince. A sixteen-year-old teenager named America Singer now not only have to work hard to keep her place in the game but also choose who she wants to be with. Being torn between Prince Maxon and her childhood sweetheart Aspen, who suddenly appears in the Castle as a guard, America can't choose between the two of them because Aspen broke her heart and Maxon didn't help her best friend. However the irony is that Maxon did in fact save her best friend and Aspen only broke her heart for her to have a better life. So if you I going to read this book it's not for the fainted heart. It's filled with heartbreaks, mysteries, love triangles, friendship and rivals. Warning: this book will mess with your feelings of which is right and wrong. However, if you're looking for a book that has a fairytale love story with obstacles this is a book for you.
