Cultural history of the United States (1920's) bryan pickler

America, an amazing country filled with amazing people such as teachers, presidents, and the brave men and women who are fighting for us, and the history and stories of its people,  but do we ever look back at it and think about it? A cultural history of the United States (1920's) is a nonfiction / Informational book that is written by Erica Hanson which tells the history of America through the 1920's. Did u ever know that in the beginning of the  1920's most American homes did not have electricity in them until 1928, which by then was 80% percent of america. Many inventions and styles were created and perfected during the 1920's. such as the car, airplane, fashion models,  weaponns, scooters, electricity, and appliances. One appliances that everyone wanted was the vacuum cleaner. It  was before its time people would often say, and it was only $6.25! I must  say that is crazy compared to today! Cars could now transport people were ever they needed, people  could fly all around the world and discover new places, people were doing amazing things that nobody would ever think would happen, radio stations were playing music and stories on the air, the economy was thriving more than ever, no wonder that the 1920's was the golden age of America! Finally on October 29, 1929 sadly the golden age came to an end to the stock market crash. Americans became homeless, they had to sell everything to survive, people would no longer know when there next mean would come. I can relate very well to the 1920's because my grandfather was born in 1923. Now understanding more about the 1920's, I know the amazing and tragic things that my grandfather experienced in his childhood. This makes me feel extremely proud to have an amazing grandfather, and want to know more about what is was like in the 1920's, and his childhood, and how he made it though the great depression .
