A child called "it" is a real life story about a boy who was brutally beaten and starved by his alcoholic mother. At first Dave pelzer lived a normal life with his family until his mother turned into this like monster taking her anger out on him. Dave was submerged in freezing cold water, forced to eat his vomit, and forced to sit in a burning stove. These are just a few of of the torturous games his mother used to play. Dave suffered mental and physical abuse. In order to survive he had to use all of his strength through all of her torture games there for his inner and outer strength were put to their limits.
