So he signs up for the army and gets shipped off to Vietnam. In a battlefield jungle where every move could be life or death he meets peewee, lobel, Johnson, and Brunner. They are in the army for different reasons but they have the same dream-getting out alive. This is a great book it is also a gut-twisting book about the the truth of the Vietnam war and about 5 teenagers trying to get home alive
